Marc Edward Larson, 53, passed on December 26, 2015 from a terminal illness at Trinity Hospital in Weaverville, CA.

Marc was born to Edward and Jessie Larson on January 31, 1962 in San Diego, CA.  He loved playing sports from a young age and excelled in football, basketball, and baseball thru his high school years.  

Marc moved to Humboldt County soon after high school and played basketball at College of The Redwoods.  There he met many of his lifelong friends and his first wife, with which he fathered his two much loved children, Lindsay and Andrew.  

Several of his jobs were in the timber industry, working in the woods for Boak Logging and at Schmidbauer Lumber in Eureka, CA.  To those who knew and loved Marc, he was very social and loved to talk with any and everyone.  He was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and opinionated commentary.

 He loved fishing, camping, cutting firewood, and spending time outdoors.  Later Marc met the love of his life Sarah Jo in Chula Vista, CA.  They subsequently moved back to Humboldt County, living in Eureka, Samoa, and Ferndale through the years.  He and Sarah were also caregivers to his late father Edward Larson in Chula Vista, CA.  Later he and Sarah moved to Lewiston, CA.  There he worked at cutting firewood and care giving.

He loved swimming with his dogs Sienna and Cooper in the lake.  He was preceded in death by parents Edward and Jessie Larson, best friends Billy Pomeroy and Ray.  He is survived by:  Wife of 26 years Sarah Larson, daughter and son in law  Lindsay and Aaron Bailey of Merrimack NH, son Andrew Larson of Newport Beach CA, brother and sister in law Jon and Lori Larson of McKinleyville CA, cousin Kyle Larson of Valhalla NY, nephews Mike and Shane Larson of Columbia MO, grandchildren Bronson and Camden Bailey.
