Traffic is backed up for about a mile on U.S. Highway 101 South, due to maintenance on the Eureka Slough Bridge. 

Caltrans has reduced the southbound end of the Eureka-Arcata safety corridor to one lane, causing brief delays.

According to the Caltrans QuickMap, the bridge work is expected to be completed by 1 p.m. today.
