A single-vehicle crash near the corner of Henderson and H has taken out key power pole at that intersection. PG&E is saying that it’s going to have the high-profile intersection closed for repairs for the next six to 12 hours, according to scanner traffic, and is saying that the repairs to the pole could interrupt electrical service throughout the city.

The Outpost’s Christian Testanier was near the scene of the crash. He says:

White Toyota ran into an electric pole and blew it up with a nice blue color. Power went out for 30 seconds. Driver ran out from the scene quickly, apparently. I went there, and 2 teenage girls were explaining how fast he was driving and crashed.

Power is already out for a few homes in the neighborhood.

UPDATE: The driver didn’t actually split from the scene of the accident.
