No, you weren’t tripping. Last night, the Outpost received multiple reports of fiery orange globes streaking across the sky.

LoCO Reader Joseph Wyatt Donica reported seeing five of the strange objects from Old Town Eureka around 11 p.m.

“Anyone else see strange orange lights in the sky? My girlfriend and I saw five of them flying fast and high,” Wyatt wrote on the Outpost’s Facebook wall. “Seemed to come from the direction of the mall, but way farther away.”

In an effort to make sense of all this, we reached out to U.S. Coast Guard Sector Humboldt Bay. However, Coast Guard officials had no answers.

Case closed, it was obviously aliens. But if you have any theories to what these orbs might be, or you have an eyewitness account, let us know and we’ll try to make sense of all this.
