Timothy Bryan Parr was born March 11, 1963 in Stockton, CA., the fourth of six children born to Robert and Karen Parr. He went home to be with Jesus on December 26, 2015. His dad was waiting for him in Heaven and Tim is survived by his mom, Karen, his brothers, Geoff, Steve, and Jon Parr and their families; his sisters, Kathy Foster and Janet Adams and their families; his daughter Chelsea and granddaughter, Aniyah, a big family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
We do not know exactly what took Tim home too soon but we know that he had many struggles with drugs and that they took their toll on him physically and on his relationships. We also know that he was trying to get clean and was looking forward to his upcoming move to Hawaii.
Tim’s obituary should be written by many people, as he had many parts to his life. There is his childhood with his family, cousins, and friends in Fieldbrook, and then the move to Eureka and another circle of friends. There are those who know him because of karate, college or cars. He met many because of his partying and many who were part of his recovery. There are the girlfriends and his wives. There is his daughter and granddaughter and the children he called his, and their children. There are nieces and nephews and their children. There is his church family. There are those who helped Tim and those who he helped.
If you knew Tim, you have a story and if you have a story you have a memory. Come remember Tim with us on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. at Telios Christian Fellowship, 1575 “L” St. in Arcata. Flowers or donations towards his burial can be sent to the church in Karen Parr’s name.
