Over two months after being caught up in swift Trinity River currents while swimming, the body of 22-year-old Paul Michael Martin was recovered nearly 45 miles downriver at the mouth of the Klamath. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release: 

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received notification from the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office (DNCSO) stating they located the body of Paul Michael Martin on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Martin’s body was located by Del Norte Deputies at the mouth of the Klamath River. Martin’s family was notified by DNCSO of recovery of Martin’s body.
