While the world is still struggling with what to make of the senseless killings that occurred at a gay club in Orlando over the weekend, the deadliest mass shooting in US history, those affected by the tragedy are coming together at events worldwide to remember and mourn the victims and to support the LGBT community at large.

Here in Humboldt, locals gathered at a pair quickly organized vigils — one held Sunday night on the Arcata Plaza and another held Monday afternoon in front of the Humboldt County Courthouse. The Outpost attended both events and snagged a few photos.
