Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:
On Thursday, June 9, 2016 at about 8:30 a.m., Humboldt County Deputy Sheriffs responded to the 1900 block of Myrtle Avenue in Eureka for a report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival, deputies met with a 58 year old male victim. The victim told deputies two black male adults knocked on his back door asking for help. The victim opened the door and the suspects forced their way inside the residence. Both suspects were armed with handguns and demanded cash or marijuana from the victim. The victim did not have marijuana and refused to provide the suspects with cash. The younger suspect then struck the victim on the head with the pistol nearly knocking the victim unconscious. The victim then produced and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspects. The suspects then fled the residence on foot towards Edgewood Road.
- Suspect #1 is described as a black male adult, between 45 and 47 years old, 6’, 225 lbs, with short black hair, balding on top, wearing all black clothes and black boots.
- Suspect #2 is described as a black male adult, between 22 and 27 years old, 5’7”, thin build, with short black hair, wearing black pants, white t-shirt, black vest, black tennis shoes, and a wallet with a chain attached.
