Burse “Ross” Radcliffe
Born Oct. 9, 1954, in Garberville
Died June 24, 2016, in Fortuna
Ross grew up in Briceland, a lifelong resident of Humboldt County. He loved the outdoors and the trails above Redwood Park. Ross enjoyed remembering the old days of growing up in Southern Humboldt, when the hunting and fishing was of great abundance. He liked the way you could walk for miles and never see another person, fence or house.
Ross was proud of his nursing degree from College of the Redwoods. He worked at several local hospitals.
Ross was thankful of the help he received from A.A., working closely with the program he sponsored many others over the years. Most of all he was extremely proud of his daughter Angie and his granddaughter Leanna and son in law Dash. They were the light of his life.
Although he endured many trials and health concerns, Ross was a warrior, overcoming many hardships. His strength and perseverance brought inspiration to many people. He was more like a father figure to his granddaughter.
Ross is survived by his daughter Angie Lasinski, granddaughter Leanna (Dash) Yact’e, mother Peggy Radcliffe, brother Robert Radcliffe, sisters Sue (Paul Greene) Radcliffe, Danelle (Gary Hammond )Radcliffe, Michele Radcliffe, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ross was preceded in death by his father Burse Radcliffe and his son Robbie Lasinski. Graveside services will be held at Briceland Cemetery on Friday, July 1st, at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome, with potluck to follow.
