Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release: 

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has positively identified the human remains found on Redwood Grove Rd in Hoopa as 42 year old Arthur Ruiz, III of Hoopa. Ruiz’s remains were identified through DNA analysis.

This is an active investigation. Anyone with information in regards to Ruiz’s death is encouraged to contact Investigator Greg Musson at (707) 268-3643.
