Helen “Darlene” Ford has returned to her father in Heaven and passed away peacefully in her hometown on Saturday March 5, 2016.

She was born Dec. 3, 1937, and was 78 years old. In Heaven, she joins the love of her life, “Bud”Buster Eaudell Ford, who she married when she was 16 years old.

She also joins her parents Howard and Marjory Clifton. She is survived by her two sisters, Judy and Beebe, her brother Bill, her three sons and their wives; Howard and Dee Ford of Crescent City, Dwayne and Melissa Ford of Bend, and Lance and Ronda Ford of McKinleyville.

She leaves behind her six loving grandchildren Nicholas, Dylan, Vanessa,Brandon, Ryan and Shawn, and five great grandchildren who she adores – Landon and Kalea Williams, Brayden and Payton Ford, and Carson Ford – as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Darlene had a deep love for her dog “Missy”who her and Bud shared together.

She loved the San Francisco Giants baseball team, and even though she was legally blind she faithfully watched them on TV.

The family would like to give a huge thanks to Timer Ridge of McKinleyville and Hospice of Humboldt for the wonderful care given to our loved one.

Services are being officiated by Pastor Joe Kent on Saturday, March 12, at 10 a.m. at Sanders Funeral Home, 1835 E St., Eureka. Potluck reception immediately following; bring your favorite dish.
