Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:

On Monday, March 14, 2016, at about 3:26 p.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the 100 block of Hayrake Lane, Loleta, for a report of a robbery that just occurred. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the 54 year old male victim. The victim told deputies he heard someone smash through his sliding glass doors. The suspects, later identified as 49 year old Robert Dale Sears and 40 year old Denise Marie McClure, approached the victim and Sears shot one round near the victim. Sears then began to “pistol whip” the victim with the firearm while McClure kicked and punched the victim. After the attack ceased, Spears and McClure took an electronic reader and two cell phones from the residence. Spears and McClure fled in a gray SUV. The victim sustained minor injuries from the encounter. Both Sears and McClure are known to the victim. McClure is the victim’s ex-girlfriend.

A Be-On-the-Lookout (BOLO) has been issued for Sears and McClure. Sears is wanted for burglary, robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a firearm, willfully discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner, and exhibiting a firearm. McClure is wanted for burglary, robbery, and domestic violence.
