Humboldt County Sheriff’s Outpost press release:
On Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at about 8:24 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputies did a patrol check on a residence on the 2200 block of Magnolia Lane in the Cutten area. Deputies have received numerous citizen complaints about suspicious activity and persons. Upon arrival, the deputy saw two people in the driveway siphoning gas from a Toyota pickup truck.
As deputies approached, the male subject fled into the greenbelt behind the house. Deputies spoke with 31 year old Beth Fontaine and questioned her about the truck. Deputies then contacted the registered owner of the truck who did not realize their truck had been stolen. The truck was returned to the registered owner.
Fontaine was arrested for possession of stolen property and violation of probation. She was taken to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where she was booked on the above charges.
