Eureka Police Department press release:
On 03/24/16 at about 6:30 a.m., Officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to the 2800 block of 6th Street for the report of two males passed out in a truck parked at a gas pump.
Upon arrival, officers found two males sleeping in a running truck with a firearm on the passenger side floorboard. The two male occupants were detained and removed from the vehicle. During a search of the truck, officers found the firearm to be loaded and located about a half pound of marijuana and over $1,500 in cash.
The two males were arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. Kyle Trombetti, 21 of Eureka, was booked for driving on a suspended license and being under the influence in a public place. Peter Hunsucker, 19 of McKinleyville was booked for possession of a loaded firearm while committing a felony and numerous
other felony drug and weapon related charges.
