Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office press release:

On Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at about 12 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible robbery victim at a local hospital. Deputies responded and spoke with the male victim. The victim stated he was wandering around Eureka when he was offered a ride by two unknown white males and two unknown white females driving a brown colored SUV. The victim and subjects began drinking and smoking and soon ended up at an unknown residence in the Loleta area. More drinking and smoking took place at the residence. The victim was suddenly held down by several of the suspects and his money was taken. While the victim was being held down, the suspects also burned his arms with glass smoking pipes. The victim’s arms were also cut with an unknown object. The victim was soon let up and was able to eventually flee the residence on foot and he hid for some time. The victim stated he crossed the freeway and ended up at the Tribal Youth Services near the Bear River Casino.
