City of Arcata press release:

April 30, 2016 - The Arcata Police Department conducted an Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Trap Door Operation in the downtown area of Arcata.  Officers worked in conjunction with security staff at local bars to identify people using fake identification cards and people using identification card belonging to other people.  The primary goal of this operation is to reduce underage consumption of, and access to alcohol by arresting minors who possess false identification.

The Arcata Police Department contacted approximately 100 people during this operation, with one person being arrested for using false identification.

The Arcata Police Department would like to thank the businesses that participated in this operation and commend them on their professionalism.
