UPDATE, 10:08 a.m.: The nice lady at the Open Door Clinic front desk answers the phone, confirming that they’ve been let back in the building.

“We’re all good,” she reports.

UPDATE, 10:04 a.m.: Our person at the scene tells us that the Redwood Pediatrics crew have been given clearance to reenter their building. Open Door Clinic is still being checked out.

Original Post: The Outpost received a call this morning from an employee of Redwood Pediatrics with a report that they and their coworkers had just been told to evacuate their office due to a suspected gas leak. Open Door Clinic has also been evacuated.  

We called Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department seeking comment but were told that, while they were aware of the situation, the chief was out and that no one was authorized to speak to us. We will update this post when we know more.
