From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On Saturday, April 30, 2016 at about 8:30 p.m., a Humboldt County Deputy Sheriff responded to a residence on the 3000 block of Delp Lane, Hydesville, for a burglary report. The deputy met with an adult male victim and an adult female victim. The male victim stated his residence was burglarized sometime during the day, and multiple electronic items and two Glock style pellet guns were taken. The electronic items include an Xbox, multiple Xbox games, a laptop, and an iPad.

The victims were able to trace one of the items, an Apple iPad, using the “Find My iPhone” app. The deputy was given this information and used it to trace the iPad to a location near the 400 block of Union Street in Arcata. Deputies confronted the suspect with the iPad and confirmed the iPad was indeed the one stolen. The suspect also had possession of the laptop. The suspect received a citation to appear in court for possession of stolen property. The iPad and laptop, with a combined value of $1,400, were later returned to the male victim. The other stolen items were not located.
