A tale of a Fortuna Police Department officer’s frown turned upside down by an act of roadside kindness, courtesy the FPD Facebook page:

This morning while returning from a jail transport one of our patrol vehicles sustained a flat tire at HWY 101 and Field’s Landing. Unfortunately the patrol vehicle was missing needed equipment. While calling for aid two people saw our officer in need and stopped to provide assistance. Both were from Fortuna, one was a past employee of Hummel Tire and the other was a current employee of Hummel Tire.

Rick, with Hummel Tire, provided assistance and got our officer safely back on the road.
