Robert (Bob) Gene Mozzetti was born on October 22, 1943 in Scotia and passed away August 4, 2016 at his ranch in Petrolia.

A life-long resident of Humboldt County, Bob attended Fortuna Union High School. He was raised in the Metropolitan area of Fortuna near Rio Dell on a dairy ranch that he later owned and operated. He also owned and operated a ranch in Petrolia.

Bob worked hard his entire life but was also known for enjoying life. While he wasn’t a man of many words, he was known to relax with an “Oly” beer in one hand.

Bob was proceeded in death by his parents, Louise and Silvio; his son, Brett; and his daughter, Kimberly. Bob was survived by his daughters Tiffaney Mozzetti (Fortuna, California), Becky Peterson (Utah) and Tammy Murray (Colorado); sons Robert Mozzetti and Richard Mozzetti (Oregon); sister Nancy Kirtley (Fortuna, California); eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as cousins in Switzerland.

There will be a Celebration of Life Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Rio Dell Fire Hall at noon.
