Fortuna Police Sgt. Charles Ellebrecht tells the Outpost that officers are currently conducting a death investigation.

Ellebrecht said he is withholding any further information until a press release can be prepared.

According to the FPD crime map, there is an active investigation for a suspicious circumstance on the 1000 block of Emerald Lane.
