The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is especially proud of one of their own, as told in the press release below:
Morgan Schlesiger, Senior Dispatcher with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office recently received certification as an Emergency Number Professional, ENP, by the National Emergency Number Association, NENA.
To be certified, Schlesiger met eligibility requirements which included a combination of experience, education and professional development in the 911 field. Schlesiger then passed a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the comprehensive knowledge base required of emergency number program management.
The ENP program was established by NENA in 1994 as a way to establish a benchmark of performance of professionals in the 911 field. There are currently over 1200 ENPs in the United States and Canada. A 13 year employee of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office, Schlesiger, is now the only certified ENP north of Marin County in California.
