CALTRANS UPDATE, 9:30 a.m.: The Morning After

The section of Highway 101 just north of Leggett was open for a few brief-but-glorious hours, that is until the mountain decided to reclaim the roadway in dramatic fashion. 

Southern Humboldt resident Wendy Kornberg posted truly unbelievable footage which shows a wall of mud pushing the barrier over to the other side of the road as road workers rush to safety.
