Caltrans has some glorious news for those of us trying to get the hell out of Humboldt this weekend. Here it is! (UPDATE: Video of the safe passage farther down):

US101 CLOSURE UPDATE 4/28 5:18 PM:
U.S. Highway 101 been reopened to one-way traffic at the slide located six miles north of Leggett in Mendocino County ahead of schedule.
Please exercise caution when traveling through the slide area, and pay extra attention to spotters and traffic control personnel.
Motorists should anticipate delays.
