Sky water be damned. When you gotta dance, you gotta dance.

That kind of #YOLO philosophical approach was on display this afternoon on the Arcata Plaza as over a hundred local young adults gathered despite heavy precipitation to dance as part of 1 Billion Rising, a global mass action with aims of raising awareness about and ending violence against women. Now in its fifth year, the gathering is organized locally by VDay Humboldt.

As you know, today it rained. But true Humboldters, regardless their age, never let that deter them (especially when the cause is good). Applaud the next generation’s gumption as you take in the photos below.
