Sounds like Caltrans has just about cleared that slide that temporarily fully closed Highway 101 north of Laytonville earlier today (see how it looked earlier today, above). Two-lane traffic should be restored soon.

That’s all well and good, but the Humboldt County Department of Public Works just sent out it’s Tuesday afternoon list (as of 3:30 p.m.) of local road closures. It’s long! Check if your path home is impeded below:

  • Shively Road 1 lane controlled traffic at PM 0.50, PM 3.56, PM 7.00 and PM 11.50
  • Dyerville Loop Road 1 lane at PM 2.00
  • Nunnemaker Road at Eel Rock Road is closed
  • Fort Seward Road 1 lane at PM 3.90
  • Eel Rock Road 1 lane controlled traffic at PM 2.70
  • Alderpoint Road 1 way controlled traffic at PM 17.70, PM 26.00, PM 30.33 and PM 34.79
  • East Branch Road 1 way controlled traffic
  • Shelter Cove Road 1 lane at PM 7.60
  • Telegraph Creek Road 1 lane at PM 1.90
  • Salmon Creek Road closed at PM 0.56 detour 101 or Maple Hill
  • Hidden Court closed
  • Mosswood Lane closed
  • Benbow Drive closed
  • Briceland Thorn Road 1 way traffic with bridge and signal at PM 3.27
