‘Doomie’

Henry Arnold Beck Jr, 60, of Weitchpec, CA, passed away on February 13, 2017 in Hoopa, CA.

Henry Arnold Beck Jr was born at Corona, CA to Henry and Katherine Beck on November 27, 1956. He went to school at Hoopa Valley High. He was a Yurok Tribal member and also of Karuk descent. He was very proud of his native heritage. He was engaged to his soulmate Connie Lynn Taylor over 31 years. He worked as a truck driver and many other positions within the Hoopa Valley Tribe, but lastly for Hoopa Forest Industries. He was a loving, wonderful father and amazing grandfather. He always had a smile and nickname for everyone. He loved to laugh and cracks jokes, whether it be at your expense or his. Some of his favorite hobbies were reading, telling stories and doing whatever Connie told him to do.

Henry Arnold Beck Jr is preceded in death by his soul mate, Connie Lynn Taylor, his mother Katherine, grandson Grant, uncle Bill Jr and cousin Bill III and mother in-law Radenia Taylor passed on before.

Henry Arnold Beck Jr is survived by father Henry “Popeye” Beck Sr and sisters Valerie Tuey, Velda McKinnon, Carolyn Taylor and brothers Lawrence and Leonard Taylor. Children Barbara Laura(Kevin), Michael Wayne (Mandee), William Dean, Radenia Wakara, and Ralenia Katherine Beck. Grandchildren Taylor Karen, Joseph Scott, Tanner Cole, Jennifer Louise, Kayla Lynn, Karly Bree, Kelsey Lovie, Talon Joseph, Carter Laverne, Kaiden Henry Dean, and Evelyn Cheegery and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m.-noon, Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Neighborhood Facilities. Burial will take place at a later time with immediate family during a private ceremony. Arrangements are made by Paul’s Chapel.

The family of Henry Arnold Beck Jr wishes to extend our sincere thanks to list the Yurok Tribe, Hoopa Valley Tribe, Hoopa Forest Industries, Hoopa Fire Department and all the people that had come to share their personal stories and fond memories of Doomie.
