Jerome (Jerry) Earl Dalton passed away in the early morning hours of January 30th of congestive heart failure, living life as he chose to, even in death. At the age of 78, he accomplished everything he wanted to do.

Married to Peggy Davis for 54 years, with two wonderful children, Shelley Lorraine Boyer & her husband Jim from Burlington, Wash. and Ronald Earl Dalton and his spouse, Virginia Cobian of Rio Dell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Sr. & Gladys Dalton of Fortuna. He has a brother who, with his fiancé Darlene Martin, were married together in a double wedding, and celebrated every year with dinner or a party. His sister is Judie Faye Johnson, and her husband Ralph of Pocatello, Idaho.

He has eight grand-children and 14 great-grandchildren, with numerous nieces & nephews.

He enjoyed many years of hunting locally and in Colorado with a few friends, most who have already passed on before him.

Jerry was also a Navy veteran and proudly served for four and a half years.

He had asked that he be cremated and that his ashes be buried quietly, awaiting his wife to join him.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, Feb. 4th, at 2245 School St. Fortuna, at 2 p.m.

Graveside services will be announced shortly.
