Law enforcement were summoned to Dow’s Prairie late this morning where man is said to have fired a weapon at a couple of people.

According to Stacy Hanson, public information officer with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, sometime around 11:30 a.m. HCSO deputies and the California Highway Patrol received a report of an erratic driver and responded to a residence on the 1600 block of Woody Road. After contacting people at the scene officers discovered that the driver in question had allegedly fired at two people.

While the male subject reportedly initially refused to comply with officers orders to come out of his residence, he would eventually emerge and was detained without incident. No one was injured. LoCO will update if and when we receive more information.
