The Tri Counties Bank branch in Henderson Center was held up at gunpoint by one or more people in masks this afternoon, shortly after 4 p.m.

Eureka Police Department officers are currently on scene, investigating. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been notified.

“It’s very early,” Capt. Brian Stephens of the EPD just told the Outpost’s Andrew Goff, at the scene. “The investigation is ongoing.”

According to scanner traffic, suspects were last seen heading north, toward downtown.

The bank is currently closed. We’ll update when we know more.
