Fortuna Police Department press release: 

On January 19, 2017 at approximately 1:00 PM, Officers with the Fortuna Police Department and Humboldt County Probation Department conducted probation searches on multiple residences at a trailer park located in the 300 block of North Fortuna Blvd.
During a search of one of the residences, officers discovered more than five ounces of Methamphetamine and more then 10 grams of Cocaine.  

Zachary Morgan Haggard (age 22 of Fortuna) was arrested on the following charges:  

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Violation of Probation

Kaleb Matthew Barton (age 18 of Fortuna) was arrested on the following charges:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance For Sale
  • Possession of a Narcotic Controlled Substance
  • Transportation of a Controlled Substance

Both Haggard and Barton are being held in the Humboldt County Correctional Facility without bail.
