Sheriff’s Office Nabs Two Suspects in String of Trinidad-Area Burglaries
From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:
On 07/14/2017, at approximately 0946 hours, a HCSO deputy was on patrol in the area of Big Lagoon County Park when he conducted an investigation on a vehicle that was parked at that location. Leslie Osborne (AKA Leslie McCovey) and William Osborne were contacted and subsequently detained. Leslie and William had been suspected of committing multiple burglaries in the Trinidad area as well as Patrick’s Point State Park. The vehicle was searched and items that had been reported stolen from several different vehicle burglaries were recovered.
Leslie Osborne was arrested for three counts of Possession of Stolen Property and Probation Violation.
William Osborne was arrested for three counts of Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of a Concealed Dirk or Dagger and a Restraining Order Violation. This investigation is ongoing.
