Robert Paul Pfanenstiel II entered the gates of heaven on July 5, 2017, at 8:15 p.m., his wife Delma was by his side, along with his daughter Sherrie and granddaughter Jodie. This was after a long battle with cancer.

Bob was born Nov. 20, 1936 in Salinas, Kansas, to Robert Paul Pfanenstiel I and Cleo Pfanenstiel. The family relocated to Southern California when he was a child. After graduating High School, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. He loved the Navy and worked in radio communications. After receiving an honorable discharge, he enrolled in Santa Monica College, taking pre-med courses. Then he changed his mind, pursuing a career in automotives.

Bob worked at and owned Eureka Automotive for 35 years. He was a man of integrity, treating all people well. Bob lived his life being kind, fair and honest. He was a man of steel and velvet.

He accepted Jesus as his Savior when he was 32 years old. It was then his desire for all family and friends to also know Jesus as Lord. He was preceded in death by his father Robert and mother Cleo and his daughter Cinde.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Delma, his sisters Nancy and Mary, his 3 adopted children, Debbie, Kim and Mark, his 2 biological sons Robert III and Eric and his daughter by marriage Sherrie, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bob was a wonderful grandfather loving each one of them.

A memorial service for Bob will be held July 29, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Arcata First Baptist Church with Reverend Delores (Dee) Neher officiating. Friends and Family are welcome to attend.
