Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department:

Fortuna Fire responded to Alder Drive this afternoon for a reported structure fire.

First arriving command found a detached shed fully involved in fire with fire spreading to the main house. First arriving firefighters made a quick knock down of fire then extensive overhaul, scraping away burned material to make sure the fire was completely out.

We would like to thank Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department, Loleta Volunteer Fire Dept and Cal Fire for their mutual aid assistance.

According to scanner traffic, multiple engines have been called to the scene of a structure fire on  the 1600 block of Alder Drive in Fortuna.

LoCO reader Stefanie Werner Ambrosini sends us these images from the scene.
