Robert “Bob” Leonard Haskin was called to heaven on June 29, 2017.

He was born the eldest son of Robert and June Haskin of Auburn, Calif., born April 19, 1944. He was a 1963 graduate of Placer High School also in Auburn. He served his country in the Army National Guard with deployment to the Watts Riots in 1965. He had a long successful career with PG&E as a lineman and foreman of 40 years.

In his retirement years he enjoyed his ranch along with his wife of over 30 years Laurie in Fortuna. Bob was a son, a father, an uncle, a husband and a brother. He also was a soldier, a lineman, a foreman, a rancher, a cowboy and a fan of John Wayne.

Bob leaves behind a son, Bobby; a stepson, Michael; his beautiful wife, Laurie; his brothers Matt and Dale; and many extended family members and friends, as well as several farm animals and long-time buddies – his horse, Keeokee, and his little dog, Zipper.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on July 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Robert and Laurie’s home — 5063 Mill St., Fortuna.
