Might be a bit of a tangle at dropoff this morning.

Arcata Fire District is working a house fire on Baldwin Street near Arcata Elementary. Several engines were sent to the scene, and other fire districts send engines to cover.

The home, on the 2200 block of Baldwin, seems to have been badly damaged, judging by reports sent to us from an eyewitness, but the Arcata Fire District indicates that its occupants are safe.
