A little after 2 p.m. today the driver of a red Chevy took a slight detour through the front yard of a residence located near the corner of Buhne and P streets in Eureka. 

Eureka Police initially suspected the driver to be under the influence but later determined that not to be the case. 

The driver sustained minor injuries.
