Carmelita Frances Nahsonhoya, wife, mother, sister, auntie & friend was born September 12, 1965. She left this world on March 7, 2017.

Carmelita was born and raised in Oakland. It was there that she met her soulmate of 35 years, Ricky Roubidoux, Sr. They had two children while living there; Rick Jr. and Ronnie. In 1986 they moved to Humboldt County and had two more children; Adam and Camellia (Sister).

Carmelita was a stay at home mom. She took great pride in her children and it was evident that they were well taken care of. Their clothes were always ironed and their hair was always parted. Later she took care of her grandson, Baby Adam. They were very close and shared a special relationship. Carmelita also took care of many nieces and nephews. She took care of all those around her and she loved with all of her heart.

Carms loved gathering with friends and family. She loved music and she loved to dance. She was always the last one laughing at any gathering. She stood strong, right up until the end.

Carmelita is survived by her spouse: Ricky Roubidoux, Sr. Her children: Rick Jr. (Raquel), Ronnie (Nikkiah), Adam (Christina), Sister (Danny) and her two grandchildren: Adam & Natalia. Mother in Law: Bernice Roubidoux. Her brothers: Luther Nahsonhoya & Kenneth Roubidoux. Her sisters: Cheryl Nahsonhoya, Priscilla Munoz (Pedro), Polly Nahsonhoya-Moralez, Chris Nahsonhoya, Mary O’Rourke (Brett), and Darlene Roubidoux (Frank). She had numerous nieces, nephew & cousins; far too many to name individually but please know that she loved each & every one of you. We would also like to acknowledge her neighbors & her longtime friends: Leslie Dimacali, Barbara Nelson & Cindy Massey.
