Arthur Gordon Brown was born April 11, 1969 in Eureka, California to Arthur Sr. and Verdalyn Brown and passed away May 16, 2017 at his home in Eureka.

Artie attended Grant and Lafayette Elementary Schools and graduated from Eureka Senior High School in 1987.  He made many, lifelong friends while there.   He enjoyed spending time with his family, he loved to discuss politics and sports with his father and he shared a love of animals with his mother.  One of his favorite places to be was in his garden with his dog Buttons. The whole family will miss his usual crop of green beans.  He was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Artie is survived by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Verdalyn Brown of Eureka, California.  He is also survived by his brother Vernon Brown and his wife, Liz, of Eureka.   He was very proud of his niece, Betsy Brown, and his nephew, Tommy Brown, and they will miss their Uncle Artie terribly.  He also leaves behind many aunts and uncles, cousins, friends and his beloved dog Buttons.

He was preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, Vernon and Ethylene Hillman and Arthur Brown and Rebecca Summers.  A private family service was held.   If you wish to make a donation in Artie’s memory, any organization that helps animals would be fitting.
