Original Post: The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office’s Search and Rescue team has been summoned to SoHum after a report that a small aircraft went down in the Eel River. 

Emily Jacobs, program director with the Humboldt County Aviation Division, tells us that one person was aboard a lightweight glider that is thought to have gone down somewhere near the Garberville Airport a little after 11 a.m. Thursday.
