John William Bartel, age 42, died in Eureka, California on Sept. 3, 2017.

Born in Arcata, on March 7, 1975, John was a lifelong resident of Humboldt County. John enjoyed playing disc golf, computer games, and being with friends and family.

A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday, September 16, at 11 a.m., at the North Fork Full Gospel Community Church at 1675 Pickett Road in McKinleyville. There will be a reception following the ceremony at Azalea Hall, across the street. Please come share your memories of John. He will be missed.
