McKinleyville Burglar Caught In the Act of Stealing a Motorcycle, Evades Sheriff’s Deputies in Wooded Area

Humboldt County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who attempted to steal a motorcycle
from a McKinleyville residence early this morning.
On April 19, 2018, at about 4:55 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Twe-Goh
Court in McKinleyville for a residential burglary alarm.
Upon arrival to the residence, deputies heard noises coming from the back yard. Deputies
entered the back yard and observed a male subject attempting to pull a motorcycle over the
fence. When deputies approached the man, he fled north into a nearby wooded area. Deputies
were unable to locate the suspect in the wooded area, but were able to recover several items that
had been taken from the residence.
The suspect is described as a male wearing a black Carhartt-type jacket and a plastic paintball-
style mask.
