Humboldt State University student Malachi Ennis died over the weekend, according to a letter sent out to the campus community. Read HSU’s announcement below:

 

We are sad to share news of the loss of Humboldt State University student Malachi Ennis. 

Malachi, of Trinidad, California, died Sunday, April 22. He was a Music major who had transferred to HSU from College of the Redwoods in fall 2016. He is remembered as a kind, diligent student who took responsibility for learning coursework material. 

We extend our condolences to his family and friends. His death is a loss for our community, and our thoughts are with all of those who were close to him. 

University staff have reached out to provide support to students, faculty and staff who may have known him.
