Gone too soon It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Hunter Jacob Miles Allen on August 1st 2018 at the age of 18.

Hunter was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Eureka on March 6, 2000 and was a lifelong resident. He was an intelligent, kind, thoughtful, funny, artistic, life-loving young man with a passion for running. He was a Boy Scout and had a charming charisma that drew you in and made you want to sit and talk awhile. He was loved by all who met and knew him. He was a great son, friend, grandson, brother, and uncle.

Hunter is preceded in death by his loving mother, Rachel Dawn Donahue; his aunt Tari Donahue; his cousin Maximus Jorgan Vaughn Silva; special lifelong friend Joeanne Stark-Faria, and all great-grandparents. He is survived by his chosen parents Aunt Liz Mott and Uncle George V.; sister Peyton Allen; grandparents Kathy and George Sr. Von Alvensleben; Aunt Audra V.; Uncle Stephen Silva; Nephew Jordan Allen; his cousins Gunner, Catrina, Hailey, Kaxandra Silva, Joey Sturgeon, Thomas Smith, Terren Mott, Kailyn Smith,and extended family; Suzy Mott and Tom Mott (grandparents); Aunt Rozlin Mott, Uncle Tom Mott; life-long special friends Wyatt Tillitt, Anthony Stewart-Rojas, Bethany Weir, and too many more to list; father Travis Allen, Grandmother Marsha Allen, Grandfather John Allen, Uncle Patrick Allen, and Aunt Michelle Allen.

There will be a celebration of life held for him this Saturday the 18th at Redwoods Acres Fairgrounds at the Home Ec building at 2 o’clock. Any and all welcome.
