Episode 1 of “The Final Drive.”

Fans are getting inside access to the locker room of Humboldt State University’s last football team.

For the second year in a row, Jacks Punter Quinn Murdy is producing a student-made, weekly web miniseries chronicling the team’s journey throughout the season and sharing the episodes on social media for fans to enjoy.

“I wish to tell our story and make it clear that HSU football is an incredibly special part of this community and university,” Murdy told the Outpost. “These are not just dumb football players, these are great, young men who have gone through many trials and still are conquering on a nationally-ranked team.”

Two episodes of the series, titled “The Final Drive,” have already been posted online prior to the Jack’s first game of the season.

HSU’s season opener is this Saturday against Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Follow Murdy’s YouTube page throughout the season for weekly looks into the Jack’s locker room.

Murdy also made a 10-episode mini series last year titled “Drive On!,” which followed the Lumberjacks as the future of the program remained uncertain.
