The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office reports that one person is in custody after a stabbing occurred on the 1600 block of Bird Ave. in McKinleyville this afternoon.

HCSO Public Information Officer Samantha Karges told the Outpost that the stabbing victim has been hospitalized. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

Deputies are reportedly sill on scene investigating the crime. Karges said more information will be released later this afternoon.
