Humboldt Bay Fire was dispatched to a big ol’ trash fire burning alongside an H Street bus stop near 4th Street moments ago.
Reader Josh Buck sends the LoCO these photos of the scene and says that the flames were hot enough to break the bus stop glass.
According to scanner traffic, the dispatched firefighters were able handle the fire without additional help.
Based on an old Google Street View images of the scene, the fire likely took out an adjacent North Coast Journal newspaper stand as well.
