On Dec. 2, 2018, at about 3:20 p.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at a residence in the unincorporated area of Eureka.

According to the male victim, at about 3 p.m. the victim arrived at a residence on to 5100 block of Cummings Road to purchase a vehicle. The victim met with the “seller” outside the residence and then was asked to enter the residence to continue the sale. When the victim entered the residence, two suspects, a male and a female, confronted him. The male suspect brandished a firearm at the victim and then stole the victim’s wallet and over $5,000 in cash.

The suspects fled the scene with the “seller” in a gray Acura SUV with New Jersey license plates.

At about 7:50 p.m., deputies on patrol in the Bayview area located the suspect vehicle unoccupied in the area of Busey Lane and Howard Street in Eureka. Deputies were unable to locate the suspects nearby.

Deputies have identified the “seller”, but are still working to identify the two other suspects. Those suspects are described as:

  • An American Indian male, 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, approximately 180-200 pounds last seen wearing blue jeans and a black sweatshirt. The suspect was last seen in possession of a short-barrel shotgun.
  • A White female, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall, approximately 120 pounds, last seen wearing blue jeans and a black shirt.
