Devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend Jacqueline Helen Marshall, 62, passed away peacefully Monday, July 9, 2018, at her home in Arcata.
Jacqueline was born October 15, 1955, in Hoopa to Verdena Leona Chase Parker and Ronald Kenneth Marshall. She graduated Captain John High School in 1976 with her sister Debra Marshall and Lori and Carol Moser. She was a loving mother and friend, she was always that person you could turn to. Those who knew her knew her door was always open, no matter if you were family or friend. She was loved by so many and she loved so many. She was rough and tough and hard to bluff. She was one of a kind.
Jacqueline was survived by her mother Verdena Parker, her uncle Malon Marshall, her children Jesse McCovey, Isaac McCovey, Ronald Marshall, Angeline Lyons, Eldon Kinney, Neh-wan Nelson and Tuk-a-tuk Nelson her sisters and brothers, Debra Marshall, Rebecca Parker, Otis Parker, Candice Parker, and Robinson Parker her grandsons Ch’mook McCovey, Jesse McCovey, Jr,. Isaac McCovey, Jr., Whikil McCovey, Gage Marshall, Shlok-yan Markison, Braden mccovy granddaughters Qosos McCovey, Evelyn McCovey, Destiny Ridenour, Journey Ridenour, Francisca Allen and Malia Rhall, numerous nieces and nephews and so many other loved ones.
Jackie was preceded in death by her grandmother Evelyn Hostler Marshall, grandfather Malon Marshall, grandmother Eletha Shoemaker, grandfather Eldon Anders, father Ronald Kenneth Marshall, sister Ronda Lynn Marshall and children Richard Jones and Morning Star Kinney.
Her viewing will be held and Arcata California at Paul’s Mortuary at 1 Monday July 16th and her wake will be held in Hoopa California Monday July 16th starting at 7 p.m. followed by her services Tuesday July 17th at 9 a.m. and Hoopa California at the neighborhood facilities. The family will be having a dinner at the Hoopa Fire Hall in after grave site. All are welcome to join. Times may vary due to heat.
