The Arcata Fire District is currently battling a brush fire burning in an empty lot near the intersection of Alliance Road and M Street.

Arcata MMA fighter and friend of LoCO Cass Bell reports from the scene that firefighters seem to have the blaze under control.
This is the second brush fire the AFD has extinguished in the area in the last three days. Bell was also on scene for Saturday’s brush fire, as they are occurring near his mixed martial arts gym. See video of the previous fire below:
